The Sheraton Waikiki TRANSFORMATION

I had the pleasure viewing all the changes to the Sheraton in Oahu, Hawaii. This resort has always been a 'staple' on the Waikiki beach but now it has more than changed, it has been transformed with a $200 million renovation where everything has changed.
The Sheraton Waikiki is a 4 star beachfront property, and there are 3 other Sheraton properties next door so essentially you can stay at 1, play at 4. The neighbouring resorts are the Royal Hawaiian Luxury collection, the Sheraton Kaiulani and the Moana Surfrider, a Westin Resort.

The most exiting changes at Sheraton Waikiki:
- "Link" - a new computer wifi area in the lobby that is free of charge for guests and has amazing view of the ocean
- "Helumoa Playground" - Oahu's new 'super pool'. One of the largest on the island with two large pools, 70 ft water slide, interactive area for kids, and two 20 person Jacuzzis. This pool area is charges by the Sheraton Waikiki and the Royal Hawaiian.
- New adult only infinity pool that is behind the hotel and is ocean front. In the same area is the new bar and restaurant called 'Edge'.
- "Twist" is on the 30th floor and is fine dining with spectacular view of the ocean and Diamond Head.
- "Rum Fire" is an oceanfront rum and tapas bar with over 100 types of rum to offer. The ambience is surreal with its fire pits, torches and evening sunsets while you hear the crashing waves.
- "Kai Market" is a more casual choice, breakfast and dinner buffet. However it is unique as everything served is grown on the island - the farm to table concept as its best. The restaurant features "walls of herbs".
- Their spa has 8 treatment rooms and their fitness center is open 24 hours
- Dedicated children's program from babies, toddlers right up to teens (extra cost)
- Kids under 17 stay free when sharing with parents
- Excellent capacity for destination weddings - exquisite ballroom, outdoor reception, private beach ceremony available. There is a lot for guests to do (if desired) as the Sheraton has a great location.
The transformation is due to be 100% completed by Dec 24th, 2009. Please feel free to be in touch with any questions. Current promotion is 3rd night free and a special gift upon check in! Special wedding and group packages and prices are available as well.
