What is a Travel Counsellor?

Welcome to my blog everyone.  This is a new thing for me and I am excited to share my travel experiences with you, share tips and perhaps voice an opinion or two, but only in the name of travel!

I often get asked what does a "TRAVEL COUNSELLOR" do?  The common title for us is that we are travel agents who help you with your travel arrangements.  And that is exactly what I do but it is so much more than finding you your perfect vacation. 

To me 'counsellor' is synonymous with listening well; being understanding and motivating.  With this caring philosophy I arrange your dream vacation.

Traveling planning can be quick, fun and easy or the planning can be a very involved. It all depends on the type of trip, expectations, and the emotions of all involved in the planning process.  That is where my "Counsellor" hat comes in.  I feel that I am more than an agent, I help balance all  your needs and if there is stress I listen and do my best to help AND if you are uber-excited for your trip, then I want to hear too! 

How about this snow today?  Make anybody want to get out of dodge and fly to where the palm trees grow?  Makes me want to go; I am not a winter person.  I say this and a few years ago I traveled to the Swiss Alps to snowboard IN THE WINTER.

Speaking about winter, if you are looking to get away there are amazing deals on cruises - again this year -and great prices on the new OASIS OF THE SEAS ship that Royal Caribbean just debuted.  I will post pictures of the new ship soon as we have seen it and I'll let you know what I think of it.
